Carmen was born and raised in Ashtabula, Ohio. Later, he attended college at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City where he studied vocal technique, dance and acting. After graduating from the conservatory, Carmen took his talents to Las Vegas where his career was launched.
For over 25 years Carmen was a featured performer in the longest running tribute show in Las Vegas history, “Legends In Concert.” Carmen and his business partner portrayed the iconic Blues Brothers with wild success. Considered to be one of the most popular acts (John Belushi in The Blues Brothers), he has been blessed to perform in Russia, Japan, Finland, Thailand and Germany. He has also made numerous appearances on television, including: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, CBS This Morning, and Entertainment Tonight. Carmen has appeared in movies and commercials throughout his rewarding career. Before relocating back to New York, Carmen spent his final years as a featured vocalist in an upscale club in Las Vegas. Carmen’s repertoire ranges from Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Frankie Valli, Michael Bublé, Motown and more. His wide range of music covers it all.
Carmen kicked off his Off-Broadway debut in New York City performing the role of Don in Mike and Mindy’s Wild Weekend Jam created by Composer and Lyricist Bucky Heard of Righteous Brothers; Creator and Co-Writer Mark Corallo; Director and Co-writer Eileen Nelson and Composer and Lyricist Timothy D. Lee.
Carmen’s favorite role is being a grateful father of three and “Ganpa” to his precious Grand-blessing, Liliana.
